USA 2016 - Day 10

Day 2 in SF, and more beautiful, fine weather. In the morning we walked down Market Street to the Ferry Building, where a farmers' market is held three times a week. It was huge! Dozens of stalls outside selling all kinds of fresh produce, a lot of it organic. Inside the Ferry Building itself there were permanent food shops and restaurants, including a Japanese place where we ate soba for lunch.

The afternoon was devoted to shopping. Our hotel was just a stone's throw away from Union Square, which is one of SF's main shopping areas. The department stores (Macy's, Barneys, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom) were fantastic, and even the Westfields was impressive.
